Is there any reason you support current education system, which is only producing self centralised civilians, who only are suffering their knowledge like donkeys to earn their food, I invite real reasons why you favour and oppose the current system. Is the spine of India really got started breaking, because we always see emotion less people around , mainly in big cities where they think they are well educated and cultured..

Come on, Think again, are we getting civilised or animalised?

Re: India's Backbone Breaking

A very valid point raised by RRP here
Thanks for this discussion

In all respects, our current system no - doubt leads to "non-inquisitive" student behaviour which is extremely demeaning for a nation with people with a lot of potential.

As raised by both of you, the very same Indians outperform any other competitor from anywhere else in the world when they study and perform on a global arena; while they fail to deliver when here. The reason - the system - and no, I am not blaming the 'system' since I am a part of it... So, yes we need to do whatever li'l bit we can...

Change is necessary from the primary education level and the 'tu-parh' and 'ratta' methods should be discouraged in classroom teaching...

And then as students reach higher education levels, they seek courses which will earn them more and not the courses which would prove challenging for them - the same is fed into the minds of children right from when they are in lower classes ke beta, kya banoge? engineer, doctor, and so on... While the system abroad is different - the children there seek to study and make careers in unconventional fields as well - like say... some research on the aerodynamics of flying snakes or like the child says - I want to do research and develop a multi-property plastic....

Instead of having careers which we Indians "end up into" we should rather have careers which we choose and select ourselves, money would come automatically if you are pushing enough...

those were my comments and in summary, YES - we need to change the education system and write it altogether again!
