Godmen for real?

I was just going through a news item wherein it was mentioned that almost 7-10 crore indians directly or indirectly follow Godmen like Sudhanshu Ji, AsaramBapu ji, and many others who have a Godly status for their respective followers. A couple of decades ago, they were nowhere to be seen and suddenly it seems as if they have come as a tide.

Whichever city they visit, some are able to collect upto a lakh devotees listening to them at one time.

What do you say about them, are these Godmen for real?
