A Sikh without Kesh and Pagg.
I just want to know: Can a guy call himself a sikh, if he takes hair cut and do not tie turban or keski?

PS- I am not saying that only Kesh and pagg will make you a sikh. There are other things also. I am just curious about Kesh here.

with only kesh .. man didnt be a sikh .. others things like his own moral rules and ethics have great values for being a sikh !!!!

sikh means disciple/student
And a true disciple is one who learns what his teacher teaches. For a disciple its more important to folloe guidelines of his teacher which are morals , priniples, way of leaving etc.
About hair and pagg , only thing is things changes from time to time.
Important thing is what's inside the package (you).

My dear friend.....as far as I know Guru only told us to have kesh and wear Turban alongwith keeping good moral values, principles and way of leaving etc.

According to you the one who follow guidelines of Guru is Sikh....so one guideline is Keeping kesh and turban.

point is ke time naal externalism change ho sakda hai buttt what matters most is what u got inside.
je kisse nu koi prob hove te kesh ya pagg na bann sake taan eh matlabh ni ke he lackes something and also sirf, pagg te kesh naal sikh nahin ho janda koi

tusi ik gal hor kahi hai ki hun sariyan nu sikhi di pehchan hai.... koun sikh hai ja nahi ih sab usnu pta hai jis nu inna pta hove ki tuhade naam de pieche singh lagiya hove.. dat person belong to sikh religion...

ih sab kuch punjab vich sirf CARS, GYPSI, BIKES & SCOOTERS de piche likhiya hunda hai ki SINGH IS KING.. to let da world know ki u r sikh... agar tusi kesh katvaye ne..

paji sikhism di pehchan hamesha TURBEN & KESH naal rahi hai te rahegi...


baal katva ke tusi punjab to bahar jao.. no one call u sardar or sikh for dem u r belong to hindu or some other religion... coz for dem a guy wid a turben is a sardar.. te sardaran di tour har jagah te hai..

dekho yaar i'm nt sikh but pta nahi mainu ih sab kehan da haq hai ja nahi...
but i writing hre wat i feel... if u ppl think ki mainu kuch nahi kehna chahida den i 'll nt say anything in abt this matter..

Ji haan je main hun kesh kata la ta main apne aap hu sikh nahi keh sakda.....Sikhism is one religion which is not given to a person just by taking birth in sikh family. You have to get it by your deeds.

Te haan sirf kesh rakhan naal main sikh nahi ban sakda.....please read my first post....this is the first thing which I mentioned.

I want to start discussion so I started.

BTW...none of you has given me the reason How come one can call him sikh after cutting his hairs?

I am giving you the reason for what I am saying: In rehat maryada, it is clearly written that a SIkh should have uncut hair and wear turban.
