no ya cant ... i was tellin jassi abt the latest firefox add-on

streaming media from youtube is cached in browser heap area, keepvid, memscrap etc. grab it from dere...this but dis doesn't work with non- buffered streams , which keep getting deleted nanoseconds after they are played

hmmmm...which are those non buffered streams yash.....and it wud require a high bandiwidth to play such media??? ritee??? coz if data is not buffered how will it b played.....cud u plz give some more info...

Umm im not sure how it is implemeted jonty ji..

but conceptually....in IE they use the player/viewer DLLs with some complex algos to figure out when the stream has pushed enough binary data to play the it correctly ...and then the data is removed the moment player markers in the stream tag it as "played out". This part is then deleted by the player code....

this is why the same data has to be downloaded again to play it again in the same browser session.... This is all a way to implement stupid content protection

ya there are lots of tools to download and convert videos to any format .. i m using one of them to convert movies for my cell phone ...
