Is this page necessary folks? Why not jus let the new members introduce themselves in that other page.... I dont know abt others... but this bugs me a little....

well reb, some of the users get totally confused when they join a forum .......

so when they register they get a link to their intro thread ........

it looks good i guess when we welcome someone ..... he/she feels a bit more relaxed and comfortable ........

well brar its kinda annoyin sometimes.. wanted to tell u to put it off wen u came at my place fer galan galan ch rehgeya.. well gud v hai in one sense.. new comers feel good about being welcmoed bt yaar kayi waar das pandra kathe hunde ne so it annoys too..

I know yaar its an important feeling... but can u imagine how many have not responded at all..... Could be persons with more than 1 ID on LC as well.........its just annoying...... maybe u wanna POLL this question as well........Wen I see this each day.... I dont feel like posting nething... its getting in my way as well.... LETS C WOT OTHER LCIANS WANNA SAY.... AND MAJORITY WILL WIN THAN.....hope all is well on yr front... take care... missing our chats....

I will see if we can have some option wherein these posts don't showup on the front page....

Actually dastoor he ajj kall edda da hai --- we are having upto 50 new registrations daily now which was the figure one and half years ago when we shifted over to the forum, in earlier months of 2006, we had lesser daily newbies - say upto 10 each. With better marketing efforts LC is touching new highs too!

But yeah, let's see and dear Brar and Reb ji, please advise me on what we should have soon

I told em da day de came up wit this idea. It annoyed me n is still on wit it. More than 60% of new ppl dun bother to post in der intro thread.

agree safi..... but since the staff has some gud in this project...... we might have 2 poll this out yaar.......... When I see there is no response from those new members.. it gets me as well.... so much time n effort has been wasted dealing with it..... Wen I post... it jus gets in my way..... I have 2 search postings which I wanna reply rather than seeing them all at one go... I have to see these greetings for new comers... If u have the time... pls do a POLL n let's see the results first B4 Brar n Admin makes their final decision as to improve or jus dont do it anymore....

i agree with rebs ji totally, normally when i switch on lc i straight way look at the new posts, but know it is more about the new members.
and its nice thought brar ji, but i don't see a point in it.
who ever really wants to join in the discusion will find his or her way out.
and we all are here to help............

well frankly speakin most of da time i log in .. ine sare first shot pages .. have to search scroll alot nd kayi waar due to all dis only i simply log out widout postin.. first shot pages nu plz stop karo coz at times its kinda irritatin.... well dats wt my opinion is rest is all uto u guys .. ..
