Do u realize how many people go through life thinking that the only choices they have are the ones listed on the TV Guide & on the menu board at McDonald's?

This is b'coz too many people never recognize our greatest freedom, which also happens to be our greatest strength.

It's our ability to choose.

God gave us life and also gave us the freedom to decide and the power to choose. Now it's upto us wut choices WE MAKE.

It wasn't our choice to be born into the world. And it's NOT our choice either that someday we're GOING TO DIE.
The period in between, wut we call life, presents us with lots of choices.
Wut are the some of the great choices u made till now in ur life? How did they change ur life? This is the main question.

1.We r free to choose our character(the type of person we are.
(wut u think....wut kinda person u r?)
2.We r free to choose how to treat other ppl.(put them down or lift them up)--How do u treat other ppl?
3.Free to choose how to handle adversity.(do u allow urself to be crushed or look for the strength within urslef)

I can go on and on with it...but now let's see wut u guy got to say.

I dun allow ppl to mold my character. It's me and only me. Our actions/words reflect our character. I choose my actions and words(right and wrong both) We should watch wut we do and say.
Treat everyone nicely. THEY DESERVE IT. Hurting others means hurting god and urself in someway. Now those are my beliefs. Some might find them stupid....

This discussion can be never ending. so i better stop.

Hmm..it nice to see someone analyzes these things in such detail...

Usually i avoid serious discussions, but Im forced to respond becoz these questions have bugged me as well...

I dont agree that we get a whole lot of choices to make...most of us just have a limited amount...not because we r not creative enough...or unaware...or we dont think outside the box...but...becoz we care...

Some points:-

I dont think u have much choice...u can only work with slight variations of "nice" or "good"..
if u choose an overly mean, bad or evil character...u cant go much far...and it wud be hard to hide behind "freedom of choice" thing.
(im not being funny here...if u think abt it..its strangely true...)

We r bound by very strict rules about how we treat others...
we should treat others in a way that we expect to be treated ourselves...so if our own behavior decides how we get treated in return...then how free is that decision??

Everyone who is rational likes to fight adversity to an extent, everyone wants to be strong, but when a chronically hungry child does in an african village due to diarrhea, how does one find the heart to blame him/her for the want of strength within...I find it very hard to judge individuals under adverse circumstances...allthough this goes against most cliche`s, but most of the
battles r not lost because there is a lack of courage...

I've met a lot of cool dudes and hot babes who claim to make "their own rules", but most almost all the time its easy to see that they make their own rules because they are incapable of following the given rules...incapable as in incompetent, and thats not freedom, it is escapism.

I think a freedom of choice is excercised in the real sense, only when u have successfully executed the choices u are expected to make, that is...only go and play after u have completed your homework...the fact that most of us spend our lifetime just completing our homework...doesnt mean that we dont have the ability to make other choices...

Here is more, now dun complain. I'll try to keep it short and simple.

*Choice of Values:-I base my standards on wut i think is right and good but not on wut other ppl are doing.

*Choice of learning:-Learning is not an unpleasant duty. It's a great opportunity for bettering myself. Be an open-minded. It's my choice if i wanna be stagnant or i wanna grow. And i choose to grow. I dun wanna stink.

*I choose my own purpose:-I dun wanna live my whole life pleasing only myself. I'd like to find a greater cause that helps me understand and appreciate life more fully. Life is sooooo beautiful. And 'm glad to have one.
