Rep Power: 238  | need antivirus for win32/parite my pc is infected with win32/parite virus...... nortor, avg, stinger, anti-parite tool --- have failed in removing this virus... they simply detects it but donot remove it completely... its a bug i think.... if anybody have any software or antivirus related to this particular virus plzzz pllzzz give me that... my pc sometimes get restarted automatically... and many times i lost my usaved data....  ..... but i've already tried the stinger.exe but it only detects the virus it didnot cleans it... i've also tried by searching from net.. i forget the name but its antiparite tool for parite viruses of A-C types but it shows that it had cleaned the virus but after running any antivirus again the virus is there.... Windows restore files in c:, D:, e: are infected with this kind of virus... | ||

Click Here to Register, Or Login in the login box above.] anyway. the file is detected as pinfi in norton. and i am telling you with my own experience you will have to format all the exe's of your harddisc. and your windows WILL corrupt, it's highly adviseable that you first coPy all your data on different partition than your primary c drive ,format it and reload windows via third party cd , DON'T use the dumP that's already in there ON YOUR DIFFERENT HARD DISC PARTITION. do not access other partitions before you have installed antivirus (updated one) then install antivirus and then access the other partitions. delete all that are detected as viruses, try to then tun all other exe''s that have been repaired by it, it will bring you to dos screen delete them as they are CORRUPT you cannot do anything about them.... still confused then message me on yahoo messenger only..... | |

If it is Windows XP or Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 then download the Microsoft Antispyware beta from the Microsoft Website. agreed but you miss the point, first of all the parite/pinfi is a virus not a spyware secong the reason all antiviruses fail to remove is because pinfi attaches itself to the windows shell i.e explorer ( not internet explorer) antivirus can't close shell so virus linger's on and on and on there is no method that i know of that will remove this virus reliably, without corrupting all the exe's of hdd.. rest it's YOUR hard disc, YOUR data, depends on YOU how much risk you wanna take... second system mechanic is a system optimization tool containing kapersky antivirus nothing too special about it... | ||
