Girls, boys admire you….

To start with, one thing very true is - popularity does not entirely depend on a pretty face, great figure and a snow-white complexion. Appropriate dress up and perfect grooming, which includes proper hair-do, cleanliness, make-up, are essential and so are good manners and charming personality. Feminity is the key! Boys want girls to be thoroughly feminine- in their looks, manners, speech, behaviour and dress-up. They want them to be neatly attractive but most of all modestly feminine. The very traits of sincerity, friendliness and thoughtfulness which make you welcome in any society make you popular among boys. Be cheerful and pleasant and have a sincere interest in others and express it too.

There is no one opinion to what kind of girls, boys like. Some like intelligent, lively and talkative types while others prefer quiet, reserved and homely ones. But there’s hardly a boy who doesn’t prefer a girl who wears her clothes well, gives a look of simplicity, and wears a soothing perfume/deo. But most of all they want to see you in natural than in the artificial.

Besides boys do not want girls to be just their admirers or even parasites. The girl who makes them feel manly charms them. In other words compliment and complete them. Therefore someone has rightly said:

Tips for a girl on a great date….

• When you are with a boy you can very well expect some `loud talk` about himself, his abilities and achievements. Here intelligence and tact is required. Don’t be too clever to throw cold water on him. Show interest (genuine interest), acknowledge his achievements, encourage him in his plans and ambitions and find something to respect and admire in him.
• It is likely that his talk will be full of I ’s... yet bear it.
• Talking highly of his masculine vanity wouldn’t cost you much but it will probably hurt him if you wound it by criticising him or try to prove that you are wiser than him. This does not mean that boys expect girls to just keep saying `yes` to everything, but means that girls besides beauty, need intelligence and tact to be charming.
• There is a particular class of people who whenever they find themselves alone with a boy have to open their own bag of troubles and seek sympathy. At least give it a thought that the boy has taken all the trouble of fixing the date, spending a good deal of his pocket-money not just to shed tears over your bundle of problems, but he wants to relax, have a good time with you. Therefore find enjoyment in what you see and hear and share it with your companion.
• Develop the art of enjoying simple things, simple pleasures.
• Don’t be rash-just because a boy has shown interest in you, don’t act as though you own him.
• You need not necessarily pay boys for the attention they pay to you and presents they give you. If you feel like giving a present, fine but do not give presents out of gratefulness. All boys want in lieu is just a warm attitude of yours towards him and a soft-n-special corner in your heart.
• Do not indulge in cheap tricks as nudging, pushing, patting a boy in public which might raise the eyebrows of passers-by, leaving the boy embarrassed, red as a tomato.
• As a smart, sweet and self-respecting lady you always wield a lot of influence, do not squander it. Boys associating with you should be proud of being with you.
