How many of do u thnk thts a male child is necessary to keep the family name going

Do u thnk ur grand childern will remember ur name....well if sum of them will then wat bout their childern , ......... the answer i thnk i no for sure

but now lets thnk of our Guru Gobind singh. He sacrificed all his childern , so he has no successor ...... but his name still prevails..............

I totally agree with you, its not necessary that male child will carry ur name forward.
today's time male child or female child there is no such difference. In such fast paced life once childern grows up and started there jobs or business its not necessary that boy is going to be with the parents.
If you wanna have ur name after the end of ur life then u have to do something good or great.
Killing of female foetus or female child should be treated as serious crime nd punishment sud be that of murder.

Yes you do need a male child to carry on the family name because ours is a patriarchal society.


Offspring give a sense of continuity to their parents and to carry on their legacy. So it doesn’t really matter if the child is a male or a female.<o =""></o>

Personally I prefer a girl child as girls are much closer to parents than boys. <o =""></o>

On more things I have noted is that although people prefer male Childs but when it comes to grandchildren, they are more attached to the kids from their daughters.

I totally agree with you all. One does not have to have a male child. I'd personally like two children.. a son and a daughter.. coz that way, I'll have the best of the two worlds. But even if I only have two sons or two daughters.. I know I won't be disappointed.

Since my childhood, i have heard that kids are the image of god( Bhagwaan ka roop), then it should never b a matter that one has a boy or girl, just pray ke who so ever comes in the world, should b well nd alright. God has just created himan beings nd he bless all as ONE. so, no difference, i have lost one chance of being a massi nd really, can't face another.

oh God! who so ever u choose to send in this beautiful world, don't let him/her die even before the actual birth!

Hmm.... I am late. Everything has been said. I never planned that far But I would not mind either. Does not matter if its a girl or a boy.

I know people beleive that male child is a necessity. Infact if you look around you can find people who went for second or even third marriage because they did not have a male child from their first/second wife. That's shameful. Education 'll eventually eradicate such beliefs.(Hope so... )

I am really lucky. My parents always took pride in me Infact my all family does
