Rep Power: 245 | 6 match ban on ganguly Inzy to appeal against the ban April 13, 2005 In a dramatic turn this morning, Pakistan Skipper Inzamam has informed that he is going to appeal against the six match ban over his Indian counterpart, Sourav Ganguly. This has come after a day when Chris Broad, the match referee, informed the Indian team management about Saurav’s ban because of slow over-rate. "We had a very good chance of winning the series with Saurav in the Indian team," Inzy said in a statement. "I will do whatever I can to atleast postpone the ban so that Saurav can play in the Indian XI in the remaining two matches of this series" Meanwhile, there have been protests all over India against the six match ban imposed on Saurav Ganguly. The crowd is demanding for a life ban from the ICC as they feel that this is the only way by which the Indian skipper can be pushed out of the squad. Ganguly was fined 70% of his match fee after the previous game at Jamshedpur, and has been punished for being a repeat offender. At a hearing conducted at the ground at the end of the game Ganguly was penalised and as this is his second breach of this provision within 12 months, the penalty is automatically upgraded from Level 2 to a Level 3 breach under the ICC Code. | |

| Pyaar baant te chalo... | As a matter of fact, vajpayee's distant relative Amritesh Singh shall be playing in the match. This was a last minute team change by the BCCI late last evening. This may add some political angle to it since vajpayee would also be watching the Delhi match sharing the same sofa with Musharraf | |
