Another Power/Option 4 Thread Starter?

Lately I have noticed that in some threads that there are large number of posts that are totally irrelevant to the subject of the thread. People start to talk abt other things that are in no way related to the thread. I have been noticing this thing since long time. So I wanna hear wut u all think abt it!!!


Should the Thread Starter have kinda power or option to delete the irrelevant posts from his/her thread???

Beer aiwen d koi gal ni hai. Kade v koi prob hoye aithe post kar dao + dhillon n PM ya offline chad dao.

Now LC is committed towards providing new and best services to its members. That is why regular Admins Meet were started so as to discuss complaints/suggestions.

MSC i think that can not b happen....couz....if power is given...he/she can use it any way...i mean if u r postin some nice stuff regardin to that thread and the thread stater del ur post....wat will u do..

and i think tech this is not possible. i dunno think there is any option like this in vB

I would request everyone to write relevant stuff only, while we have no technical feature to handle this.

The volunteer staff should themselves try to post only subject specific stuff in the threads... this would enable new members to enjoy the conversations

Well most of the time its the fellow admin staff who does this kinda stuff!!!

lo lkudiye manneya apna cold war kaafi chalda aa but still my message was abt all admins not just ya ... ahin sare hi aiwen karde aa and do k waar mainu apni posts v delete kittiyaan aiwen...

Moreover I do complain b4 taking action dats my way of doing things
atleast i got the courage toi complain and gutz to discuss the matter @ staff Zone

Yeah I know it happens and I myself do it. Not that I think it's the right thing to do, just that it's fun
Seriously speaking, I know it's harder for new members to follow what the original discussion was but most of the times we tend to go off the topic once the discussion is almost over. We can do something like forum moderators can delete the irrelevant posts ( including their own posts, which would be very true in my case )
No hard feelings.. Moderators can soft delete it and then the admins can permanently remove it.
That's the best I could think of

Well i dont think any1s talking abt that now!!!! Or if u cudnt get wut jatti said.. She said/,eant that FORUm MODERATORS can SOFT delete the posts and ADMINISTRAORS can see them and delete permanently!!! I THINK IT IS TECHINICALLY FEASIbLE

and Jatti yaar actually its not like only wen the discussion on topic ends and then people styart to talk abt other things!!!! there are so many thread wich have few posts abt the topic and other posts that are not abt topic and are posted very near/close of the thread starting date!

But anyway i liked ur Idea and thumbs up for it! I wanna do it pls! ADMIN ji allow me to do it.. mroeover i ll b softdeleting not permanently deleting
