Are we civilized ?

A simple question for serious guys.....if any left at LC.


Do civilized people kill the elderly to get them out of the way so that others can have their property?

Do civilized people disrespect their elders?

Do civilized people kill baby daughters in mother's womb?

Do civilized people put comments on girls/daughters and make fun of them?

Do civilized people speak profanely and abuse publicly?

And most important

Do civilized people lie and reward liars with high public office?

No, I don't think we are civilized. I think that civilized people love their elders, love their children, get married and love one another, speak without being profane, dont lie, respect their women and fear God.

I think that we humans are becoming uncivilized day by day. We are forgetting all our values and culture on the lame excuse of becoming modern. We should not detach ourselves from our roots just to be considered
contemporary and up to date. As disheartening as it is, it is unbearably devastating to even think that we like to deprecate and spurn some of our highly cherished customs and traditions in the name of civilization.

Civilization actually has to mean the sum total of culture. Yes, if culture is the foundation, civilization is the building. Therefore to put it plain, human civilization is the index of human culture.

So we should respect our elders, love the youngers, speak the truth, and above all always remember GOD and be grateful & thank HIM for all the things that HE has given us.

Its very difficult to answer for a mortal like me......But as far as my thinking goes ..yes, we are becoming more uncivilized day by day.....simple things like car driving has become more of a shouting to others process......I wish we could restrain ourselves from the stupidities we do every day and try to be little more friendlier to people around us.... be it our mom dad, friends, even street people..means just try to be polite towards our surroundings......
