Shocked Dog in the Backyard :( RED ALERT - HELP NEEDED

RED ALERT LCians!

A dog has entered from nowhere in my backyard...

Yesterday night there was some noise in my backyard and then some dog started barking non-stop. I was first wondering if it is our neighbour's dog, but then the roaring barking sound became so loud and I heard something knocking on the windows of the rooms on the back of our house.

Click the image to open in full size.

The problem now is in getting the poor soul out of our backyard. I am afraid of dogs and in this case it's a furious adult German Shapherd...

Picture this - the boundary wall is around 10 feet high but on the other side (outside) it is just 4 feet. So anything can pounce in with ease but it's really difficult to jump back!

Now the pain is that the dog has gone extremely mad about being "imprisoned" like this. It is going on barking...

How to get it out of here?

Somehow, we will have to direct the dog to one of the doors and then it has to pass through the entire house and then reach the front gate to get away from all this...

Any sincere suggestions or comments are welcome.

Re: Dog in the Backyard :( RED ALERT - HELP NEEDED

I think he is a pet, any comments of dog-owners on expected behaviour?

Actually as soon as I try to open the door (there is darker inside) it thinks that he will be trapped worse than this if it enters the house. Then even if somehow it enters the house, how will I direct it through the lobby and rooms

Help is indeed needed, please comment...

Re: Dog in the Backyard :( RED ALERT - HELP NEEDED

1 go on the other side of the wall with a rope or with a board
(i suggest you board)

2 put that board in ur backyard slanting touching your wall.. making it so like a Ramp.

3 than run as fast as you can for your home (to be safe)
4 check your back yard from window (if dog has climbed that ramp to make it on the other side of the wall.
5 call me to invite for pizza party

Else you can call Dog catching squad or PFA (people for animal, Chandigarh) for help

regards

vinod

Re: Dog in the Backyard :( RED ALERT - HELP NEEDED

Vinu, it did nt work out the way we planned dear

Actually using a board, the dog even doesn't come near to it and considers it as another obstacle. I have used a 6x4 block board for the same. The furious dog, being not a trained one, cannot even think that the board is for his help only

Please suggest some more and better ways

The poor dog also has not had anything to eat. I had put some milk and bread, but he is not touching it. It came near the food a couple of times, but after smelling it went away again.

Now the poor soul is not barking much. At times it lies down in the corner sunbathing, but agitates again if we try to do some experiments...

Please HELP
