Anil Kumble today became the first Indian and fifth cricketer ever to claim 500 wickets in the the history of Test cricket.
The 35-year old Karnataka leg spinner, playing in his 105th Test, joined the list that includes Shane Warne (659), Muttiah Muralitharan (600), Glenn McGrath (542) and Courtney Walsh (519).
Kumble reached the milestone when he dismissed Stephen Harmison leg before in the England first innings on the third day of the second cricket Test against England here.
